Cabbage Patch Kids Family Reunion |
|
On August 18, 2004, I found out that Xavier Roberts was going to be at
the Mall of America
so I had to hurry up and get the kids ready and myself. I was in such a hurry, I almost
forgot to brush my hair and my teeth. We got to the mall and I was so excited! We had to wait in line for about an hour
but it was well worth it. While we were waiting in line, a staff person asked me a CPK question and gave me a CPK keychain.
We finally got up to the main area and I picked out the dolls I wanted. The dolls at the mall were more than if you get in
the stores so I just decided to buy two because Xavier was only signing two for each person. After we got the dolls, they
gave us two tickets and got two CPK VHS movies. Some of the tickets had a stamp on the back and if you got that ticket, you
won a doll. I didn't win. After we got the movies, A lady was standing there to cut the tape on the box to get the dolls out.
I had trouble getting the dolls out because I had a stroller and three kids with so a nice lady helped me. We had to go to
another line to meet Xavier. We were waiting and this guy said "Excuse me" so I turned around and it was Paula Abdul's bodyguard
and there was Paula! She walked right in front of me and our shoulders touched. Paula was right in front of Jalesa (My oldest
Daughter) and Jalesa said "Hi" and waved and Paula waved back and said "Hi" back to Jalesa. Jalesa thought that was really
cool because she loves American Idol and thinks Paula Abdul is really pretty. She is really pretty in person. Anyway, We were
in line for about thirty minutes and finally got up to meet Xavier Roberts. I just froze! I was so excited! I started to cry
because I was so happy. He is so nice! A staff member took my camera and started to take pictures and I thought that was really
nice because he didn't have to do that. Xavier sighed both my dolls and even took time out to talk to all of my kids. I was
still crying so he took me and gave me a hug. I can't believe I got such great pictures! I will always remember this day!
